License Expiration and Extension

When a license expires, the expiration date is highlighted in red in the “Distribute Licenses” section.

For MSPs, the expiration is also indicated on the dashboard as an alert on highlighted companies, making proactive monitoring easier.

Cyber Guru Phishing Licenses

When a phishing campaign is scheduled with an end date after the license expiration, it's important to consider the following:

  • If the campaign is set for August 26 and the license expires on August 31, emails will be sent as usual until the expiration date.

  • On August 31, the platform will automatically suspend email sending. No new simulations will start after this date.

  • If the license is extended later, you need to manually remove the "suspension" flag to allow the campaign to resume exactly where it left off.

Cyber Guru Awareness and Cyber Guru Channel Licenses

For Awareness and Channel training programs, the behavior upon expiration is different:

  • Content releases continue if Student Caring is active, regardless of the license expiration.

  • The user still receives the release email, but:

    ❌ They cannot access the content until the license is renewed.

  • The user continues to access the platform, but the training paths are not visible or accessible.

  • The user can download the course completion certificate, even if the license has expired.

Extending License Validity

To extend the duration of a license, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Services section

  2. Click on the three vertical dots next to the service of interest

  3. Select the "Extend license validity" option

  4. From the dropdown menu, choose the number of months (in multiples of 12) to extend the license

License extension is only allowed for users with MSP role or higher.

 Additionally, the extension can be done only within 30 days of the license expiration date.
Beyond this limit, the option is automatically disabled and support from the Cyber Guru team will be required.

To extend the duration of licenses for a specific service, you can access the "Company Management > People > Distribute Licenses" section. Within this area, the "Extend license validity" option is available, allowing you to choose the number of months to extend the expired license.

The duration selection is done through a dropdown menu, which only offers values in multiples of 12.
