What is the Cyber Score?
The Cyber Score is a comprehensive index that measures the overall level of awareness and strength in cybersecurity:
-
On an individual level → indicates how attentive, prepared, and up-to-date a single user is.
-
On a team level → aggregates the group's performance to show the team's average level.
-
On a company level → provides an overall view of the organization regarding cybersecurity practices.
The result is displayed through a radar chart representing five main dimensions.
🛡 The Five Dimensions of the Cyber Score
1️⃣ Active Defense
Percentage of reported phishing emails, calculated from completed campaigns.
2️⃣ Behavior
Frequency of clicks on received phishing emails, based on completed campaigns.
Initially, everyone starts with a base score of 0.5 to prevent excessively rapid deterioration (**).
3️⃣ Learning
Percentage of correct answers on Awareness quizzes compared to available quizzes.
4️⃣ Participation
Percentage of training modules completed compared to those released so far.
5️⃣ Updating
Percentage of completed episodes and informational snippets out of the total available.
⚙️ How is the Cyber Score Calculated?
The platform records the results of activities in real-time during Cyber Guru training.
Here's how the calculation works:
-
It tracks completed quizzes, correct answers, clicked or reported phishing emails, and followed episodes.
-
Each dimension has a score ranging from 0 to 1 (from 0% to 100%) calculated on the total available at the time.
-
The radar chart combines these dimensions to provide a clear view of strengths and areas for improvement.
🔢 Practical Calculation Examples
🌟 Virtuous User
- Before receiving an email, a user only has virtual data; in reality, they will have received 4 emails and clicked on 2, with a behavior index of 0.5.
- The user receives an email and does not click. At this point, they will have received 3 emails, of which one was clicked, and the behavior index rises to 0.67.
- The user receives a second email and does not click. At this point, they will have received 2 emails, none of which were clicked, and the behavior index rises to 1 (from this point on, behavior only accounts for emails actually received - there are no more "fake" emails impacting the calculation).
📉 Average User
- Before receiving an email, a user only has virtual data; in reality, they will have received 4 emails and clicked on 2, with a behavior index of 0.5
- The user receives an email and clicks. At this point, they will have received 3 emails, of which two were clicked, and the behavior index drops to 0.33.
- The user receives a second email and does not click. At this point, they will have received 2 emails, of which 1 was clicked, and the behavior index returns to 0.5 (from this point on, behavior only accounts for emails actually received - there are no more "fake" emails impacting the calculation).
⚠️ Note: Completed Campaigns
The Cyber Score considers only completed campaigns, not those still in progress.
Therefore, updated scores are reflected only at the end of phishing/smishing campaigns.
🏢 Adaptation for Companies Without All Services
If the company hasn't purchased all the features, the radar chart is simplified into a histogram, still providing an immediate and intuitive reading of progress.
